I'm back from a month backpacking round the dreamworld that is India. Cue my cringey tourist snaps:

I have absolutely fallen in love. When I first arrived, I was completely bemused by everyone and everything, but as the days went on and when I reminded myself not to lose my sense of humour, I began to love the chaos that is this beautiful country. In fact the second line of my diary on the first day reads "Uh oh, the lights have just gone out. [scrawled description of the abundance of cows on the Indian roads] Ah there we go, lights back on. No off. No on.". Lights do not work, trains run late, and if, like me, you're over 5"8 you will be followed in the streets (I later learnt that my friend had told a whole restaurant that I was a famous American basketball player...), but this just adds to the charm of the place, plus the magnificence of the architecture, the friendliness of the people and of course amazing shopping made this month my favourite travelling experience ever. GO!

Far too appropriate right now

Mint : Lemon : Peach : Lilac : Blush

My university exams are over which means, no matter how cloudy it might be in London, in my world it is officially Summer.
Today I'm ignoring the threats of rain and wearing my super thin mint green topshop sweatshirt, this Barry M nail varnish in Berry Ice Cream and a stack of pastel bracelets from eBay. Too much too soon? Nahhh.

DIY

I've gone a bit stud crazy after I bought 300 of the things on Ebay for less than a fiver. So far my Converse and my leather skirt have both been attacked, and today the object of my studding obsession was my old pair of ASOS denim shorts.

Review: Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector All-in-One BB Cream

Claim no. 1 - "It’s your latest beauty secret….. An all in one, anytime, anywhere skincare solution for perfected skin."
I wouldn't say this perfected my skin- to me it seemed more like a glorified, rather sheer tinted moisturiser.

Claim no. 2 - "Feel the sensation of the light texture that instantly melts into your skin."
In order to make sure this feels light on the skin I had to use a very small amount of the product, which meant that I didn't get enough coverage. It made my oily-combination skin feel much oilier and I needed to use a lot of powder to combat this, which I felt defeated the "all-in-one" purpose of the cream.

Claim no. 3 - "The formula with mineral pigments gives an instantly ‘perfect’ skin. The result? Sheer coverage; imperfections look blurred, lines softened."
As I've said, the coverage wasn't enough for me to achieve flawless skin, although this would be a good product for those with clear, drier skin.

Claim no. 4 - "Your skin looks luminous, smoother and more even. See the B.B. difference. 24hr hydration. Skin feels more supple, smoother, softer."
Because this BB cream only comes in two shades (light & medium) it required a lot of blending to make my skin smoother, as I neither matched my complexion well.

On the plus side, this is affordable (£7.49), very moisturising, has SPF15 and the minimal coverage it does give has staying power, but sadly it is not suitable for all skin types, as advertised.

You don't have to tell me that I shouldn't like them, I know everything about them is wrong. They're very drag, make your feet look the size of Australia, not to mention that I'd be about seven foot tall in them, but I've got an unyielding soft spot for Jeffrey Campbell's Lita boots.

I saw a beautiful girl wearing the cosmic style in Urban Outfitters the other day with leggings, an oversized jumper and lots of silver jewellery and fell in love (with the boots, not the girl).
Available from some larger Office and Urban Outfitters stores and nastygal.com
