I was lucky enough to go to the Bora Aksu show at London Fashion Week this year. The designer went back to his romantic roots with Edwardian inspired undergarments with lots of lace and corsetry, and a generally muted colour palette - bar the beautiful bright orange dress.

When the ruffled floor-skimming skirts came down the catwalk, I had to stop myself from clambering over a very chic Nicola Roberts, sitting in the row in front of me. The satisfying swishing sound they made on the petal covered runway might not be replicable in real life, but boy did they look (and sound) beautiful.

Overall I was really impressed with Bora Aksu's attention to detail. Whereas some labelled this collection hectic, I thought it was a lovely interpretation of romanticism, and the beautiful draped dresses looked fantastic with the panelled fishnet tights, now available online for £25, if you want to snap up a bit of Bora, but can't quite justify the £400+ dresses.
